belated

is one considered a 'bad friend' or a 'bad family member' for not calling a person on their birthday? hopefully not...

october must be a blessed time since so many of my most favorite people in the world celebrated their birthdays in october...

happy birthday brother bossch!

brother bossch. yes, he's named after a spark plug thanks to our pops... and what a spark plug he is. bossch is kind of like a more hip, easy going, and fun-loving mr. rogers without the shoe fetish, i believe. he's always been the favorite out of the siblings for always being the 'nice guy.' but thank all spark plugs of spark plugs-- i don't know what i would do without brother bossch. he's grown into such a man's man over the past couple years-- and now that his prefrontal cortex (yah! i'm 25!) is more developed it should be interesting observing the bossch develop into his own man. happy birthday brother!

happy birthday miss shianne!

now what would i do without this bitch? she feeds me, she listens, and she just plain gets it. i'm thankful that miss shianne was persistent in maintaing our friendship. i have this image (same as the above picture) of shy in my mind- only she's two years old, in the philippines, and playing in the water with the same fun-loving attitude she always has. who would have thought that i would (eventually) call your typical sorority girl one of my best friends? but that's the thing, there is nothing typical about shy. so before anyone assumes anything about miss shianne- think again. you may think she's heading right, but she'll surprise you by going zig-zag- or you may think she's going down the orange road and and at the last second, she'll pick the tan cobblestone road...you get the point. i don't know if it's a sign- or just another one of the million coincidences in my life that shy also shares the same date of birth with brother bossch... nonetheless, happy birthday bitch!

feliz cumpleanos mills!

millie! happy happy happy birthday! the first thing that comes to my mind when i think of millie: I LOVE MILLIE! amelia is the homegirl for life- enough said. i met millie my sophomore year at loyola when we were both app couselors- jeez, that seems too long ago. she's got this unbelievable spirit where if you don't find mills to be one of the most dope-ass-mu'fuck'in chicks you've ever met in your life within the first five minutes of meeting her- then that means there is something wrong with YOU (not millie.) her creative energy is contagious as well and i get excited at romanticiszing the idea of how HUGE (career/success/personally) millie will become in the (very) near future. the world is hers, on the real.

i'm here to wish a happy birthday to you...adrienne

there are so many stories, places, expressions that i can begin with when describing miss adrienne. just the picture alone can tell you a million things about her. besides holding the record (in my own hall of fame) for the ability to truly get your groove on no matter what time or place-- i owe adrienne so much. i've known this chick-i-dee for (gasp) almost 16 (going on 17) years which officially means that she's not the homegirl, a best friend, or a long lost soulmate- adrienne is simply my sister. we've seen each other (along with the other regulaters) through everything imaginable- tragedy, success, heartbreak, major transitions, and now... onto our new era(s)-- our post-post adolescent years (aka our mid to late 20's.) adrienne can make you laugh and cry until you (almost want to) pee your pants. that's something to be proud of- right? she's got the insight of an old-school philospher masked by a modern day comedian. in essence, adrienne is the SHIT and truly one in a million.

Thanks Sister. I never knew! Anyways, thanks for the CD. It actually made me get off my lazy ass and do something. Thanks for motivating throughout the years. You've been the person that I want to become like. The drive that you have and the focus.

And for the record, Nanay and Tatay loves all of us siblings equally!

Gi-Boy was telling me the other day, "I can't wait till Ate becomes a director then we can all be rich."

I told him, "Gi, don't you know? We're all going to be rich and happy. Me, you, Ate, Nanay, and Tatay. It's just a race to see who will be rich first. You'll have a great idea and you'll work hard and get what you want."

Then Gi said, "Like my video game idea and the books?"

I replied, "Yep, all the ideas that you have in your head. You'll be successful at whatever you do. Just like our family, because we're all strong."

All right Sister, I'm out. Take it easy see you at the next party.
