what's up with this ad on the back of the bus?

MAN vs MAN
yesterday, my cousin tina almost died. she was in a car accident where a truck almost side swiped her causing her to swirve into a 360 facing traffic head-on on the 5 freeway. a car smashed into her and the car was totaled.

MAN vs NATURE
maite and alvin were evacuated from their apartment last night do to the fires that started in the valley yesterday. they still haven't been let back into their apartment and may not be able to enter until saturday.

MAN vs TECHNOLOGY
two weeks ago they say that a DWP employee made boo-boo causing the power to go out in downtown LA, south central, some of west LA and the valley. although it was only a couple of hours, how can one of the most major cities in the world not have some kind of back up for the back up?

everybody keeps talking about "being ready."
be ready in case of an emergency because something is bound to go down in the city of angels. funny because i'm starting to believe it as well. i guess we should be thankful that nothing has happened- yet. but there is something strange in the air. is mother nature trying to tell us to step? and why is it so damn HOT outside? it's freak'in FALL season.

on a positive note, my cousin's wedding in new york was a blast. i'll expand on that in my next entry...
