contracts

what would i do without these fuckers- maite, gregory, and tim?

gregory and maite.
i met gregory pacificar the last year of college. i think it was meant for us to meet towards the end otherwise we would have gotten ourselves into some serious mischief if we had met in the beginning. what can i say other than gp's one of the hardest working rich peoples i know. and i don't hold it against him that he didn't dress himself until he was 12/13. gp's the ultimate artist. there isn't anything he can't do, fix, make, or create. there's an unexplained charm about gp. he draws you in with his charm then he eventually lays down the honest law with you.

maite's a mysterious woman. never have i met a woman as curious as maite. i'm sure she wouldn't say so herself, but maybe she would. she's a jack-of-all traits (aritst/b'ness woman/leader) and a living martyr. she drops these pieces of kindness that come out of nowhere and can organize the shit out of anything. i don't care if she's obsessed with schizos- someone's gotta be- right? the bottom line is that maite's a hustler's hustler.

i can honeslty say that i would probably be either homeless, prostituting myself, on crack or in a variety of other situations if it weren't for greg and maite. they keep me in check, keep me inspired, i'm never offended when they call me a "fat ass bitch," and are definitely part of the 5%. maite and greg are dope because we have that unspoken communication going on. it's as if we feel what each other are feeling without us having to say anything. that, and the three of us are the biggest walking contradictions. we're probably the kindest-bitches, laziest-hardworking, and the most generous-selfish people you will ever come across in your life.

lately, maite and greg have been mentioning this idea that everyone we come into contact with or make connections with in our lives- we have a contract with these people from our past lives. i don't know what kind of contract the three of us had in our past lives, but it must have been something similar to the declaration (without the criminal white men signatures.)

we have a 'retreat' tomorrow. i think as b'ness partners/homies we're a little 'retreat happy' but at this point, i don't see anything wrong with that...but we do know that it's time to step up our game. on the agenda: current film projects, projects to wrap, bills, new inspiration, new team members (yah! we finally have an intern and a lawyer!), production schedule, etc. etc.

and where do i start with mister t? we were once platonic roommates who eventually found more in common than our living situation. the other day tim said, "you can choose to change your way of thinking." it takes a man's man to admit that. mr t has no doubt introduced me to new ways of thinking. i'm thankful for that. you know it's not my tendency to get all mushy, so i'll spare ya'll the grossness and just say that i wouldn't be surprised if i had a contract with mr t in a past life as well.
