the sucka in me
being an artist is stupid, sometimes.
our ability to justify our actions is an indefinite quality that i embrace and loathe about myself at the same time.
the days of being in the company of peers who "don't get it" or who assume that they "understand too much" is regurgitated cop out. and the idea of redirecting ones personal sensitivities into their work can be selfishly positive but how does this energy contribute to the whole?
today i feel more at peace than usual. the primary reason being that my personal weaknesses are recognized and the process of rebuilding doesn't seem so daunting. patience is no longer just a virtue, it's a necessity. instead of using my surroundings as clay for my newest sculpture, i choose myself as my own medium. my body is the stencil, with faith that the blueprints laid out will strengthen my mind. the overall vision will hopefully manifest into a stronger soul, a solid core whose structure is manifested enough to connect with higher levels of wisdom. the idea of accepting mediocrity on any level is lame, yet we continue to do so, because this is how we are conditioned.
the imbalanced curve of labeling something as great, when really it's just "okay" is a hilarious process.
well, joke's over. bench warmers beware.
regardless of our achievements and mistakes we are living history...suckas!
