after the ashes and dust have cleared

(the point of view of the hollywood hills fire along New Hampshire St in LA)

captured this image before someone had informed me that there was a fire just outside of the hollywood hills. what kind of urks me about LA is the city's general disregard for mother earth. we already breath in a ton more pollution a year than any other city within the U.S., but to have fires and smoke just makes my body breakdown.

after a busy week, that's exactly what my body did- breakdown. we spent a couple all nighters putting together our photo exhibit which debuts tomorrow. . .then thursday evening, my body said "enough." after over 15 hours asleep and at least twenty 'missed calls' later, i found myself waking up slowly friday morning, not as rejuvenated as i thought one should be after sleeping for almost a full day.

now, it's saturday morning and we have to meet our homegirl alfie to let us into Lost Souls Cafe and this project will be a done deal. well, not exactly. i'm blogging right now because i am supposed to be writing text to describe our photos, but it's just not coming out of me. i always found it amusing when writers admitted that they had "writer's block" because that seemed to be a disease that had never hit me. i always thought, "if you're a write, you write..." it's funny gregory has deemed me as "the journal queen" since within the past three years i've easily devoured at least twelve journals.

but now, look at me, suffering from the same problem i've pitied. eeek, do i dare admit that i've caught a temporary writer's block? i'll admit that my body is weak at the moment, but admitting to this is just going too far.

let me get off blogger now and whip this puppy out.
no excuses.
