ju ju ju july bug..still celebrating.
as my favorite month of the year comes to an end; i am reminded of what an extraordinary one its been.
on july 15th, i received a call from ms shianne saying, "oh mia, you done did it! parker was born this afternoon and i think today's your birthday."
have you ever been thrown a surprise party and thought, "wow, this is the nicest thing anyone's ever done!"?? or have you ever received a surprise gift that ended up being something you've wanted forever?
well, take that emotion--times it by twenty and that will tell you how i felt when i heard Shy's message that her little Parker was born on the day of my birth...the best birthday present, EVER!
enormous smiles; amorous joy; and masterful thoughts by the greater universe had done its magic on my most egotistical day of the year...by allowing me to advance outside of myself, step out of the pool, dry myself off and shed a tear (okay, more than a tear) of joy for one of my best friend's newborn...yowwwsers, how miraculous that a newborn can cause this kind of wonderment in one's life-- and he's not even "mine"!
i'm feeling emotional even telling this story; that's how much ecstasy i've embraced within the past two weeks... if this is what the big 2-7 feels like; than bring on 30/40/50/60/70 and beyond...i can't wait!

The kid has the same birthday as you? Poor kid!
