circles

"all things are circular. what begins never seems to end, only shifts, changes form, comes back again, wearing a different face...worlds intertwine...experiences transition from a direct one to an indirect one back to a direct one, waxing, waning, ebbing and flowing..."

miss nia wrote those lovely lines above. she's been circling around the world lately- on tour with the roots, to japan, to australia, and now homechica is opening up for common- what the? a lot of folks may be jealous of miss nia's opportunities- but i'm more than ecstatic about the shapes she's taking & the woman she's becoming. i'm hoping that the girl will circle her way back to nyc then back to la one of these days (uhhh hummmmm...)

my circles have been more of triangle/squares- lately. this isn't bad- it's different. i have found my way back into shapes that once were...back to the film jobby job, back to the corolla wheels, back to living solo, back to having a zillion side projects, and back to being in la (mentally & physically.) this is a big deal for me- realizing that i have to stay in la for wee bit longer than i had initially intended.

i'm also back to tryng to keep things simple but for whatever reason my life loves to circle back to the dramatic-interesting-lively situations...i just hope that this shape-turn doesn't happen any time soon, i'm taking a liking to these squares.
