origins

i know that i'm being redundant in mentioning and/or making reference to mi familia- but i can't help it! not only are they more entertaining than any film, tv show and/or fictional novel- but, i can't deny that they are a part of me as much as i am a part of them...blood is thicker than water, so they say.

it's no surprise that both sides of mi familia are (among several characteristics): matriarchal, filled with "women to be reckoned with" (as quoted by my tito cornell), full of good-hearted men, intelligent but stubborn, charming yet devious, self-consciously over confident, humbly vain, selfish yet giving, happily moody... a family full of artists, musicians, chemists, teachers, business women, politicians, activists, hard-working lazy mu' fo's, addicts, bi polar-ists (is that a word?), ... yes, it's confusing blood line.

the origin of my wackiness (only 95% of my personality and yes i'm proud that it's not the full 100%) stems from some of the most magnificent people (that i know of) in the world...whom i'm about to have a ball with (within the next couple of days):
