not to sound ethnocentric, but...
i love my culture...my roots...my peoples!!
and i'm not one of those who needs to rock the pilipino flag/symbols on my sleeve; speak tagalog in an elitist tone around non-tagalog speakers; or who needs to only kick it with my kind...naw, my pride takes off in non-conventional forms.

what takes the cake in reference to subtextual pride are our elders who age with such grace and distinction and whose demeanors exude nothing less than wisdom and elegance.
