pretty

(pretty pretty by N. Graham.)

if someone would have told me ten years ago that in 2009 i would be cheering for the Lakers, i probably would've done one of three things (or perhaps all three):
1) spit in your face
2) laughed in your face
3) back slapped the back of your head

oh boy, it's crazy- but i am living proof that things do change, people do change...
and low and behold, we have truly made lemonade outta lemons--
and a perfect example of this is inviting an orphaned NBA fan (R.I.P Super Sonics) to be a part of a winning team. let's be clear about all this, i am not a bandwagoner. bandwagoner's jump on impulsively. the decision to transition did not come from an impulsive catalyst. i have had a good 10+ years to meditate on the skill set that continues to progress for this SoCal team.

it feels different. it really does.

this past Sunday, the sister and i were taking the red line from k-town to downtown. as the train stopped at 7th and metro, we were met by a crowd of screaming Laker fans who had just come from game 2.

"Everyone's so happy in LA right now," my sister reiterated.

"Yeah, imagine what this feels like," I replied.

"I wouldn't know," said the Seattlite.

It feels...
It feels...

"like butta melting onna biscuit..."
(as RyRy would say.)
