some new shifts have been happening a la Narra...

in addition to writing my ass off, i've been given the task of looking for new material to produce. with this responsibility, i'm soliciting screenplays written by others besides myself. so there's been a whole lot of script reading, script dissecting, script analyzing going on. since we're serious about optioning/producing stories in accordance to our mission, we're currently brainstorming a method to our development madness.

and the (work-in-progress) symphony goes a little something like this:

• > solicit original screenplays from potential narra collaborators/writers.
• > read/analyze scripts.
• > based on "Narra's story criteria" evaluate the story's ability to fulfill Narra's mission.
• > approved scripts are passed to Narra founders for evaluation.
• > work collaboratively with Narra Community Office to identify Community collaborators in accordance to the story's themes.
• > establish formal partnership with Community Collaborator(s.)
• > produce community and industry script reading for feedback on story.
• > work with writers to implement rewrites based on community evaluation (and to ensure authenticity of community being represented in the story.)
• > once rewrite is complete, Narra will have script reviewed by development advisory team.
• > 2nd round of rewrites are complete based on advisory team feedback.
• > Narra Founders review new rewrite to determine if story needs more community/industry feedback.
• > Rewrite until material in greenlight-able to Narra's standards.
  
• > Pre production begins.
  

it's not too daunting, it's just all very necessary.
