mediocre dividends

so i'm being a little over dramatic. what has been shared this year has definitely been reciprocated ten-fold... but this good-will has been swapped in the most accidental ways. something to the affect of "sure, i'll give an undeserved tip to the server even if her attitude could use some fine tuning..." then cut to days later where a sublime surprise is unexpectedly dropped on my door step. i refuse to take these rare moments for granted as who knows if this will be the first, last, and only moment of its kind.
it's kind of like when i'm driving from 3rd & Bixel (outside of downtown LA) heading east towards little tokyo. between six and seven pm, it's not quite dark yet, but the sun has completely set. this rare state of natural light hits the "100" building reflecting an unusual hue, where i only hope to grab my camera in time to capture the moment. but, like clockwork, the traffic light suddenly turns green and within seconds, i have missed that moment.
this long-winded simile is the round about way of identifying the profits shared during these rare moments...and recognizing that they can long withstand a single surface level, picturesque outline. no, this would be too easy as the need for instant gratification is sooo pre-2006.
this year is all about finding creative solutions on how to sustain the goodness: the unforgettable sensitivities; the twinkles transformed into original designs of good energy.
this will definitely not be the last of the "cheering" as we break into the new year. but, i'll definitely salud to that! here's to 2007 ya'll!
