anatomy of cool

forgive the delayed reaction on this observation as i've just recently found another source of entertainment in scanning random people's blogs in the morning before i start my to-do list and after i've done my daily skimming of nytimes/reuters/wa post/aldaily, etc.

those bloggers who are "on it" often follow this work-in-progress equation of :
[doing something really cool] +
[taking pictures of doing something really cool] +
[shout out to homies who shared the cool experience] +
[writing random commentary of the really cool deed/situation]
= a super cool blog entry.

i think my family would give me some super negative cool points since i tend to post events (that i find semi cool or really cool) on my blog out of sequence or super after-the-fact...or (gasp) not at all.

how do you cool bloggers do it? how are you so on it?
please give me some cool point tips.
