in an ideal world, experts who get paid to predict their varied subjects of expertise would have been able to give us heads up about the looming economic crisis. in an ideal world, a country that appears to be on top of their game as far as gender equality- (you would think that) allocation of funding towards reproductive health would be a priority (or at least take some kind of precedence.) in an ideal world, the process of self-awareness would be at a minimum of 85% consciousness before one commits themselves to another. in an ideal world, the sales of liqs wouldn't be disproportionately high compared to the lack of middle class income. in an ideal world, the monthly process of periods and ovulation would be a male and female 'thing.'
in an ideal world, the same rotation of pale faces wouldn't always be on the cover of the same magazines all the freakin' time. in an ideal world, we would still get complimentary meals on domestic flights. in an ideal world, people would read before they turn on the tv. in an ideal world, generation x/y'rs would be a little more advanced about talking to their young ones about sex and sexuality. in an ideal world, the ego would be non-existent. in an ideal world, "note to selves" wouldn't be necessary. in an ideal world, i would have never heard a female say (not joking) aloud "people don't realize how hard it it is and how much pressure it is to be a pretty girl." in an ideal world, gift giving wouldn't be a holiday essential. in an ideal world, this entry wouldn't be full of run-on sentences.
as humans, where did we miss the boat?
